White Sands, New Mexico. The sun had just crested over the horizon as I hike on top of White Sands in New Mexico. The golden color is an illusion. The sand which is Gypsum sand is pure white and therefore takes on the "color of the day." At dawn this gold color is reflected and captured in this image. The 12x18 print is a signed edition.
